Another lovely landscape from you Carol. The fine detail you give to your compositions is wonderful. Excellent work.

Carol,
As usual this is so good. I love the way the canvas weave makes the whole thing 'sparkle'. It's super.

Carol, do you look out on vast spaces of land where you live? Your landscapes look like they are so much a part of your everyday life. I mean you are an expert with these paintings. Love it. Verlie

Hi Verlie, Yes is the answer to your question. I live in a small village which is on the side of a valley. From the house and garden I can see Dartmoor in the distance which looks like the hills in the picture at the moment as they are covered in snow and in the forground are rolling green hills some with cows and some with sheep. I am lucky to live in the place others come on holiday to. Devon is famous for having high banks on the sides of the narrow roads. Soon they will be covered in primroses. I keep trying to paint it but it is so hard to capture it even with a camera.

Your landscapes are wonderful Carol. I love the distant hills in this one. They look misty. I like the detail of the grasses in the foreground. The mount and frame work well - good idea.

Lovely. The hills in the distance look far far away and the grasses in the foreground are right under my feet. Great painting.
